Julie von Haefen
Special thanks to Julie von Haefen and her Saturday crew for cleaning up our courtyard!
You may know Julie von Haefen as a Washington parent but she is also one of the most dedicated PTA volunteers we have ever known! Julie served as Washington GT Elementary PTA President for two years and continues to serve on our PTA Executive Board as an At-Large Member. While PTA President, she won a grant to fund the first cultural night "Holi Festival." She is a dedicated steward of the grounds at Washington and has been an integral part in the creation and maintenance of the Fossil Pit on the playground as well as the Courtyard. But that's not all....Julie is also serving as the Wake County PTA Council President this school year and she is also on the North Carolina PTA Board of Directors serving as the Advocacy Committee Chair. We are truly blessed to have Julie serve beside us as she is always inspiring us to carry out PTA's mission: "to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children."
Julie, we thank you!

The PTA uses MemberHub to send out emails (like this newsletter) but it also works as our School Directory! By setting up an account with all of your family members listed and joining your child's classroom hub, you can easily connect with other families at Washington. Take a minute to set up an account at http://washingtongt.memberhub.
