WIZARD WORDS A newsletter from Washington Elementary and Washington PTAMay 29th, 2018
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Dear Washington Families, What a great year we have had! The excellence and dedication of our staff, as well as the support and engagement by our parents, have served to foster academic growth, appreciation of our diverse backgrounds and talents, and an excitement for learning by our students. Thank you for being such committed and caring champions of all students’ success. I look forward to the 2018-2019 school year as we continue our rewarding partnership together. For bus transportation questions and steps for the 2018-2019 school year, please use this link. Up-to-date transportation information is available in your student’s Home Base/PowerSchool account. Families not using Home Base/Powerschool can sign up for an account at school. More information on Home Base is available at www.wcpss.net/student-information. Don’t wait until the week before school starts to gain access. You need to come to the school or mail a notarized form in order to gain access to the account. Contact our school data manager, Vicky Allen at 919-856-7960, extension x26596 or vallen@wcpss.net with any questions. I will be at Washington throughout the summer, except the last week of June or occasional off-campus trainings/meetings. Our summer school hours will be 8:00-4:00 p.m. daily. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions you may have for our year ahead. ~Mr. Grant
